Overview:
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - JOURNEYMAN (RIAASC-22-0222-Z):
Bowhead seeks a Software Developer, Journeyman to join our team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command G6 at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, IL. The Software Developer, JM is responsible for building and deploying websites, developing and improving site navigation and preparing the technical documentation required. The Software Developer, JM also performs content management and maintenance, and will be hard coding in C#.NET and VB.NET. Qualified candidates must have experience with SQL databases. The Software Developer, JM applies specialized skills and expertise using object-oriented design programming, source code control practices and application security, authentication, and content management functions in a fast-paced, cloud-based software development and production maintenance team environment. The Software Developer, JM designs and builds web pages using various software applications, techniques and tools. This team uses C#.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML/CSS, and Transact-SQL.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts programming activities related to the development, maintenance, and/or installation of computer programs to internal, client, and/or commercial application systems.

Developing code using C#.NET and/or VB.NET; using JavaScript/jQuery and HTML/CSS tools to develop websites by coordinating with web content developers and graphic designers to ensure that the project is technically feasible; qualified candidates must have experience with tools including JavaScript and Transact-SQL and similar

Conducts analysis, designs products, and programs computer software that requires extensive research.

Conducting functionality and navigation testing, preparing technical documentation and providing technical support and administration of the infrastructure for implementation and maintenance for both the company and customers web sites

All work must meet all applicable Information Assurance standards, 508 compliancy rules, database design standards as well as Government RMF application STIG requirements About this Contract: Bowhead provides Application Support to the US Army Sustainment Command at the Rock Island Arsenal, the home of U.S. Army logistics. The work our customers do in world-wide logistical support services has a direct impact on Soldiers in the U.S. and abroad.
Qualifications:

A BA/S is preferred in addition to two (2 ) years of experience in a development environment is preferred.-
Must have prior experience with back-end development

Qualified candidates must meet IAT Level II requirements, (i.e. CompTIA Security CE) prior to starting

Must have knowledge of C#.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS and Transact-SQL

Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
