Overview
TECHNICAL WRITER (SIT):
Bowhead seeks a Technical Writer to support various proposal efforts under the Systems & Information Technology (SIT) divsion. The Technical Writer will assist with business services to include Program Management and Planning, Finance, Logistics, Security, Space Planning, Safety, Administrative Services, Technical Editing, Records Management, and Computer Engineering and IT support.
Responsibilities
- Technical editing and writing capabilities, including expertise in word processing; the establishment of documentation guidelines, procedures, and templates; and scheduling, coordination, production, and distribution of deliverables.
- Writing original and rewriting existing material in accordance with defined standards and formats to clearly convey the intent of the document.
- Working with standard style guides and the ability to develop new writing and editing processes and procedures documents as necessary.
- Providing written and oral communications skills needed to identify staff writing requirements and relay technical writing guidance to program and project personnel.
- Implementing and communicating effective internal review procedures to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
Qualifications
- Five to eight (8 ) years’ of experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated skills in prioritization and multi-tasking.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
