Job Summary
The APP Critical Care Pulmonary Inpatient Supervisor will be tasked with supervising a group of MICU APPs within our Chandler MICU location. The APP CC Pulm Inpt Supervisor is responsible for ensuring 24/7 coverage for the MICU APP service, keeping track of duty hours, absences, ensuring proper paperwork is completed, and meeting regularly with APPs and divisional leadership. The supervisor, in coordination with fellow critical care pulmonary inpatient supervisors, will be responsible for the onboarding and coordination of orientation of all new APPs.
The APP Critical Care Pulmonary Inpatient APP functions primarily managing critically ill adults and serves as a resource throughout UKHC for intensive care interventions. The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the day to day patient care from ICU admission to ICU discharge.
The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care.
The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
