We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Coordinator at UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Evanston, Illinois, office. The Senior Accounting Coordinator supports financial operations by handling day-to-day accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and performing various clerical tasks, including processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits. This role possesses strong organizational skills along with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations in accordance with established standards.

What You’ll Learn And Achieve
As the Senior Accounting Coordinator, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized records and documentation.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
