THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
The Benefits Analyst will have primary responsibility for ensuring all benefits data is accurate and will analyze data to support benefit recommendations. In addition, the Benefits Analyst will lead and manage various benefits projects for health, welfare and retirement programs. This role may have supervisory responsibilities.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data, metrics, and statistics - applying this data to make recommendations related to associate benefits.
- Responsible for data flow and data integrity to and from main HR system, benefits systems, payroll systems, and all benefit vendor systems - including manual and automatic file data transfers.
- Investigates, researches, and troubleshoots system issues relating to benefits systems and HRIS.
- Leads the execution of the ACA process including hours measurement and coverage offers on a monthly and annual basis as well as working with benefit enrollment vendor to test, communicate, and distribute Form 1095 and file ACA forms with the IRS.
- Leads the execution of employment status hours audits.
- Supports the execution of the Annual Enrollment process.
- Works with external auditors to complete annual 401(k) audit and prepare 5500.
- Supports compliance initiatives related to mandates, legislative changes, internal audits, and annual compliance testing and auditing.
- Prepares reports of data results for Benefits, Finance, Tax, and Payroll.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns as it relates to benefits enrollment, recruitment, retention, associate well-being, and compliance.
- Creates presentations in support of benefit recommendations & updates.
- Leads and executes various benefit projects.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
- 5-8 years of benefits administration experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of HR/benefit laws including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Proven project management experience.
- Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel (emphasis on VLOOKUP and PivotTable function knowledge), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred knowledge of SuccessFactors, bswift, and ADP payroll or similar HR systems.
