THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: 

The Network Engineer is a results driven, service oriented  engineerwho will be primarily responsible for the design, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of a complicated enterprise wireless infrastructure. This infrastructure spans corporate office space, distribution center and retail store environments. The engineer is responsible for developing system designs, migration plans, test plans, diagrams, or any other solution documentation as relevant to a project or support activity. 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS BY: 

• Project Management: Defines, documents, and carries out small projects. Carries out project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and documents activities against the project schedule, liaising with stakeholders as appropriate.
• Systems Integration: Designs and builds integration components and interfaces. Leads practical integration work under the technical direction of the system /service designer. Contributes to the overall design of the service and assesses the technical criteria for product or component selection.
• Business Process Improvement: Analyzes business processes; identifies alternative solutions, documents feasibility, and recommends new approaches. Contributes to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in the change program. Helps establish requirements for the implementation of changes in the business process.
• Capacity Planning: Develops and maintains standards and procedures for service component capacity management. Pro-actively reviews information in conjunction with service level agreements to identify any capacity issues and specifies any required changes. 
• Customer Service Support: Liaises as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support. Contributes to creation of support documentation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong working knowledge of wireless technologies and implementations, particularly in a Cisco/Meraki/Aruba environment.
• See a network project through from start to finish, including analysis, design planning, testing, and implementation.
• Troubleshoot rf network related problems in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
• Vendor management.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experienceIdentify, document, and implement wireless design/architecture best practices.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience.

• 3 years’ wireless/RF engineering, with preference to experience in industrial and/or distribution center environments.
• 3 years’ experience designing and managing complex, enterprise wireless network deployments.
• 3 years’ experience working with routing, core switching, Cisco Nexus, ASA firewalls, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, network topologies, and F5 BigIP load balancing.
• 3 years’ working with Cisco/Meraki technologies.
• Expert level experience with performing wireless site surveys, analysis, design, and implementation.
• Moderate to expert level experience with wireless RF technologies, with heavy preference towards Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki platforms.
• Thorough understanding of WLAN authentication, security, and network management
• Strong technical knowledge of Cisco Prime NCS, Cisco MSE, WLC and Meraki Dashboard, Aruba Airwave, Aruba Central and Aruba ClearPass.
• Proven experience and ability to manage problem resolutions of complex or intermittent issues in a multi-vendor, integrated enterprise environment.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance analysis monitoring tools, and a history of using them for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Excellent project management skills to be able to support full life cycle of wireless/RF projects.
• Strong communication skills to be able to communicate effectively to an audience that spans departmental boundaries.
• CWNA – preferred.
• CMNA – preferred.
• CMNO – preferred.
• CCNA Wireless – preferred.
• CCNP Wireless – preferred.
• Aruba and Meraki certifications - preferred
• Must be able to move around different-sized facilities to perform site surveys and installations including ascending and descending stairs, ladders and other elevation changes.
• Must be able to become certified (onsite certification provided) for scissor lift, fork truck, burden carrier.
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have valid and active U.S. Issued Driver’s License
• Travel up to 30% of time to perform site surveys and remediation.
