Ultimate Journeyman Carpenter responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood etc.
Use hand and electric tools to cut, fabricate, and install framework components
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures
Comply with safety regulations
- Perform carpentry work in construction of walk-in freezers and environmental test chambers
Layout and build stairs
Layout and install cabinetwork
Ability to patch drywall
Fit and install window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim and finish hardware (i.e., locks letter drops and kick plates)
Apply shock-absorbing, sound-deadening and decorative paneling to ceiling and walls
Ultimate Journeyman Carpenter requirements
4 years of Carpentry experience
18 years of age
Ability to perform regular standing, bending and kneeling and lifting of up to 50 lbs without assistance
Math, problem solving, and construction skills
Ultimate Journeyman Carpenter Standards
Maintain a professional attitude
Appropriate PPE (Hard hat, vest, steel toe boots)
