We are seeking a skilled Administrative Support professional to join our Sales & Purchasing Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical and heating equipment distribution industry. This position requires managing large volumes of emails and phone interactions with customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily order entry and processing of high-volume sales orders.
- Obtain quotes from vendors, verify pricing and delivery times, including special pricing.
- Provide quotes to customers.
- Manage customer and vendor return processes and follow-ups.
- Expedite orders and conduct customer and department follow-ups.
- Purchase parts and generate purchase orders.
- Update and maintain the CRM database in a timely manner.
- Conduct research as required.
- Ensure effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Participate in onsite channel partner seminars.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales administration or customer service, preferably in the electrical or heating equipment industry.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed documents such as specifications and equipment schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and knowledgeable in using CRM databases.
- Strong familiarity with customer and vendor portals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent worker with the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects with limited oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills are preferred.
- Understanding of product research and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of freight and various carriers.
