Job Description
Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a Financial Institution in Downtown Baltimore to hire a Chief Compliance Officer. The COO will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of compliance. We are looking for a proven leader with a growth mindset.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Owns maintenance of the governing policies and related framework for compliance and chairs the Compliance Committee. · Interfaces with the Bank's business units to ensure the establishment and oversight of an effective compliance monitoring program.
- Researches and analyzes federal and state rules, regulations, and interpretive guidance, and draws well-reasoned conclusions related to their applicability to Bank products and services, as well as operational procedures.
- Monitors changes to applicable federal and state regulations, laws and policies and advises senior management and Bank employees in advance of emerging regulatory and compliance issues.
- Ensures that changes in laws and regulations that may affect policies and procedures are incorporated on a timely basis.
- Participates in new product and service development and oversees the review of marketing, sales and product materials and communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates all compliance examinations and external audits; serves as a point of contact for examiners in all regulatory compliance related matters.
- Provides training and education to Bank directors and employees regarding their responsibilities with respect to the compliance program.
- Performs annual risk assessments to include but not be limited to compliance management, fair lending, red-flags identity theft and UDAAP
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of regulatory compliance experience
- Prior management experience
- Experience overseeing federal and/or state examinations and third-party regulatory audits
- Preferred: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
