Title: Lab Technician (Soldering Technician)
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Flexible Start Times: 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM - shifts end at 4 PM, 5 PM, or 6 PM (8-hour shifts) overtime and weekend work available if desired
Start Date: ASAP
Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Market Rate (approximately $29-35/hr DOE)
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist the applications engineering team with board rework of ICs and surface-mount components.
- Manage lab operations, including ordering equipment and enforcing lab safety and 5S protocols.
- Troubleshoot board issues related to power-up or soldering.
Qualifications Required:
- Strong understanding of passive and active components, as well as basic analog and digital circuits.
- Experience with lab equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, and Network Analyzer.
- Proficient in SMT soldering.
- Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office for generating test reports.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software is a plus.
Must Haves:
- Experience with oscilloscopes and hand tools.
- Proficiency in SMT soldering.
- Use of a microscope is optional, based on candidate preference
Interview process: One on-site interview with two back-to-back meetings.
