Job Description
We are working with a well-established personal injury practice dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to their clients on a direct hire basis. Their team is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes and supporting our clients through their recovery process. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a legal administrative role, with a preference for those who have worked in personal injury law. This position involves providing administrative support to our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Location: Dover, NH (100% onsite)
Pay: $24-$26 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing updates on case statuses.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Maintain and organize client files both electronically and in hard copy.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including gathering and organizing evidence, medical records, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate and manage attorneys' calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, court dates, and other appointments.
- Draft and send professional correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, filing, photocopying, and ordering office supplies.
- Ensure all legal and office procedures are followed and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal administrative role within personal injury law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal case management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
