Job Description

Looking for a Pastry Executive Chef/Macarons

General Purpose

Direct, oversee a production team and also be hands on in all aspects of production of French Macarons and desserts, inventory control, food cost, purchasing of supplies, quality.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Uphold the high standards of French Macarons policies, quality and handbook
  2. Maintain order. Discipline, safety and organization in the kitchen
  3. Manage daily operations
  4. Develop production schedule according to Purchase orders
  5. Develop working schedule for all workers
  6. Requires an understanding for Federal, state, and local kitchen health and safety standards
  7. Follow all standard recipes stablished by the company
  8. Manage all ascepts of production department and implement new processes and procedurs for efficiency purposes
  9. Work alongside executive chef to ensre food cost is maintained
  10. Work alongside executive chef to ensure labor costs are maintained
  11. Ensure all personnel follow GMPs and uniform code
  12. Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgement to accommodate unusual situations and keep the owners informed at all times
  13. Maintain positive and professional relations with vendors, and proper interaction with the staff
  14. Ensure all records are maintained for GMP safety audits.
  15. Inspect deliveries to ensure highest level of quality and within food safety guidelines

Qualifications

  1. Professional, enthusiastic responsible, and dependable team player
  2. High level of personal hygiene
  3. Good organizational and managements skills
  4. Can work well under pressure
  5. Superior oral and written communication skills
  6. Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems
  7. Meticulously detail- oriented
  8. Strong computer skills
  9. Adept at building teams
  10. Self motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new kills and grow
  11. Willingness to work in a collaborative environment with co-workers fom diverse technical backgrounds
  12. Strong logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weakness of alternative solutions and approaches to issues as they arise

Education/ experience

-Bachelors degree in the area of specialty

-7 years experience in High production bakery or in related area

-Familiar with all aspect of the job description

-reliabble transportation with clean record
