Quality Associate
Location: Vista, CA
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Pay: $18 - $20/hr DOE
A contract manufacturer of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies and Box Builds is seeking a Quality Associate to join their team. They are certified ISO 13485 and AS 9100. The Quality Associate is responsible for Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement inspection, documents result in Quality Database. Coordinates equipment calibration working with external lab. Provides day-to-day quality support to the manufacturing team; creates and maintains the master work order files. Accomplishes quality and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs visual and dimensional incoming inspection of purchased materials.
- Documents inspection results by inputting data into quality database.
- Performs audits in production for compliance to documented standards.
- Controls and distributes the client supplied and internal controlled documents within the organization.
- Logs returned materials and provides RMA traveler
- Participates in the Internal Audit process
- Maintains the master assembly files.
- Issues manufacturing documents to the production staff.
- Controls and distributes assembly serial numbers to production with each work order packet, logs the serial number information in the database (if required).
- Reviews the client supplied documents and compares them to the internal documents for clerical errors or other conflicting information.
- Works with the Account Managers to resolve in issues related controlled documents, deviations, and customer requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 6 months industry related experience and/or training.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Experience with hand gauges, calipers, and non-contact inspection equipment is required.
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
- Ability to manage time appropriately and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with co-workers and management.
- Familiarity with navigating Windows based computer programs.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Knowledge of calipers, hand micrometers, and visual inspection techniques.
- Involvement And Knowledge of the use of quality management system procedures, forms, work instructions, and certifications.
- Experience with ISO Quality Management Systems preferred.
