UCT is currently seeking an experienced and talented HRIS Manager to join our team!

This position will be leading and supporting our new Global Ultipro HRIS implementation. This role will partner with the Global HR Operations Team to make thoughtful process optimizations that will help the team better service the business and prepare for continued Ultipro implementation and maintenance. Responsibilities include project management of the implementation, continuous maintenance of Ultipro, providing recommendations and designing internal processes; Guiding in house and external developers to ensure they are meeting the business requirements; Bridging the gap between business and technology, designing solutions that meet the business’s expectations while remaining technically feasible for development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and Project Manage HRIS related projects (scoping, planning and scheduling)
  • Perform activities related to Ultipro HRIS as the IT product owner
  • Work closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, technical architects, and developers as part of an agile team to design, build, and deliver solutions.
  • Drive design and solution architecture for projects and production support working with Business SME’s
  • Identify areas where HRIS systems can be leveraged, extended, processes can be changed/automated or existing solutions can be enhanced
  • Develop Business requirements and translate them into functional design documents and technical designs
  • Document specifications for integration and data migration activities
  • Create and update business process flows
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and agreements around project issues
  • Facilitate integration and user testing including documentation of test scenarios and oversight of testing progress for projects and production support
  • Use analytical & written communication skills to create user stories, acceptance criteria and other supporting specifications, documenting business logic and the user’s experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of Ultipro HRIS and/or SaaS Applications in HR area
  • Well versed in HR business process and employee life cycle (Hire to Retire)
  • Knowledge of working with Global Human Resources, HR Operations, Compensation, HRIS, Benefits, Learning Management, Payroll, Time and Attendance
  • Knowledge of Analysis and Reporting tools (BI/Dashboard)
  • Solid understanding of what is involved with Unit, Functional, System, Performance, technical, and operational testing
  • Ability to create and execute software testing scripts
  • Ability to follow software configuration management procedures
  • Knowledge of collaboration, document repository or intranet systems (like SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of documentation, communication and project management tools like MS Visio, MS Projects and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of technical and business resources
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives and groups
  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organization skills and a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability and interest in training users in tools, processes, procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to multi-task, balancing the requirements of maintaining several competing projects and priorities
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision to complete projects; processing initiative to address issues and opportunities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with all types of software platforms (i.e. Desktop, Mobile, Web, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other team members, development staff, consultants and management
  • Ability to provide helpful, tactful and professional technical assistance to users
  • Creative, flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree in IT, Computer Science, Math, Business, Operations or similar
  • PMP / Agile certification will be a plus but is not a requirement

Experience Requirement:

  • 7 years of experience as HRIS preferably a Manager HRIS or similar role (i.e Business Systems Analyst)
  • 7 years’ experience supporting HR function
  • 5 years’ experience supporting Ultipro HRIS and/or SaaS Applications in HR area
  • 5 years of HRIS Implementation experience
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in quality assurance on full life-cycle development projects, systems analysis, software applications, development, quality assurance and testing

Environmental Exposure:

  • Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
  • Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; Time of each will vary.
  • Constant operation of computer and frequent usage of other office machinery, including (but not limited to) calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Constant assessment of accuracy and thoroughness of the work assignment.

Overnight Travel: Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
