Job Activities:

- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, 5S of area, adhere to schedules and keep management informed
- Update Gemba boards daily
- Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures and operational sequence.
- Set up, adjust, and operate equipment with limited supervision.
- Operate various hand tools, power hand tools to make finish adjustments to products.
- Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.
- Troubleshoot operating, material and tooling problems.
- Perform general preventive maintenance work on tools and equipment.
- Guide assisting personnel on correct procedures.
- Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completion to include quality inspections
- Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Satisfy the required hours of the department.
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

Delivery/Cost
- Hourly monitor progress of work by using hour by hour data, scheduling boards and by ensuring standard work is being followed.
- Ensure the team’s productivity by holding daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to support, inform and incentivize the team.
- Prepare daily production schedule and layout daily production schedule and optimizing labor
- Ensure proper application of personnel to cover absences and changes in production demands.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate/up to date data on Gemba Boards
- Ensure actions from kaizen events are implemented and maintained
- Ensure Training Matric are up to date and maintained.
Other Responsibilities
- Performs start-up, operation, and shutdown
- Ensure established work techniques (standard work instructions) are in place and performed daily by team members.
- Be fully engaged in the Continuous Improvement programs. Must be able to implement and sustain these authorized improvements.
- Carry out routine departmental operations by meeting regularly with the Supervisor. Keep supervisor informed of critical departmental issues.
- Lead daily team start up meeting and stretching.
- Be present and engaged during morning GEMBA walks
- Act as a resource, resolve problems and answer questions from department employees concerning job related daily activities under direction of Department Supervisor.
- Review and monitor accuracy of information to ensure paperwork is properly completed and maintained.
- Extensive knowledge of all department related equipment in order to properly analyze and assist with resolving all types of situations that arise.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Coating Skills –
Specific Requirements Include:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools
- Ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, 5S of area, adhere to schedules and keep management informed.
- Update Gemba boards daily.
- Oversee and maintain production on production lines to include training and supporting all required functions.
- Organize the work schedule and personnel to ensure safety, quality and production.
- Monitor production activities to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Monitor equipment and processes.
- Maintain stock of thermos plastic powder and chemicals.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Execute and document quality inspections.
- Promote teamwork and communication with the department to produce long-term operating improvement.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform related duties as required by supervision.
- Set an example for team members of commitment, application of skill, work ethics and habits and personal character.
- Ability to successfully perform all functions of the coating line including dip and/or PC booth, back and front of the line paperwork.
- Must be able to fill out and speak to the boards.
- Trains other associates.

Education and/or Experience
- Requires a high school diploma and three to six months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary : $37,000 - $46,900
