What are the responsibilities and job description for the MFD Internal Sales Manager position at Umpqua Bank?
In this role, you will manage and direct a team of Multifamily loan officers and loan analysts to retain existing loans in MFD's portfolio. In addition, you will produce new loans on non-owner occupied, income producing multifamily real estate, mobile home parks and multifamily mixed-use properties within Umpqua Bank's footprint.
Functions
- Develop a calling program to retain and originate Multifamily business within the assigned area.
- Direct a production team of Multifamily Loan Officers & Loan Analysts in the retention of existing loans and origination of permanent loans on stabilized Multifamily properties for the bank's portfolio.
- Analyze and pre-screen loan requests, structure financing to the bank's portfolio requirements, negotiate loan terms, prepare, and present loan requests for pre-screening (when necessary) to the Multifamily Division Credit Manager.
- Manage oversight and adherence to all Umpqua procedures and processes, as well as applicable real estate laws and regulations.
- Identify hire, manage, motivate, and retain talent. You will be responsible for the performance management and professional development of associates within the assigned market.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your position
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
- Direct Resources Managed 1-5, and Indirect Resources Managed 11-49.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience managing a production team, preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience as a commercial/income property lending officer or more than 10 years of experience in real estate financing, required.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or other related field, required.
