Job Summary:
The Patient Advocate reports to the Director, Patient Experience, and is responsible for training and implementation of the Patient Experience Program and Complaint Resolution process across the continuum of care. This position will influence changes in systems and processes that have a negative impact on patient experience throughout the organization. Works with management and teammates to accomplish positive results and will influence changes in policies, processes, practices, and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
EducationAssociate Degree Required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licensure/ CertificationBLS certification must be obtained during orientation and maintained.
ExperienceMinimum of three years of experience in patient/healthcare relations, human services, or hospital experience in a clinical or professional area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Ability to interact and collaborate with patients and their families using diplomacy, professionalism and tact.
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
*Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. *Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
