The School of Information and Library Science seeks to advance the profession and practice of librarianship and information science; to prepare students for careers in the field of information and library science; and to make significant contributions to the study of information. Within SILS, The Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) researches the growing impact of the internet, social media, and other forms of digital information sharing on democratic society. CITAP researchers analyze how social differences shape unequal dynamics in our information systems and prioritize questions of power to produce work produces insights that inform and support a digital future rooted in equality and justice.The CITAP Administrative Associate will collaborate with faculty researchers, postdoctoral fellows, student research assistants, and staff across multiple schools and departments to support CITAP research and public scholarship programs. This position ensures that the center's business functions run smoothly and maintain compliance with university and program policies. The role includes providing administrative support to the executive director and faculty researchers, as well as scheduling center events and meetings, managing events and travel, and program engagement. The project coordinator is a primary point of contact for many of CITAP's stakeholders and coordinates many of its day-to-day activities and problem-solves regular process and procedural issues. This position is contingent on funding.
Salary : $45,477 - $55,000
