Manager, Business Continuity

Position Summary

We are enhancing our Business Resiliency (BR) program to minimize the likelihood and impact of a disruption to Under Armour’s business. The Business Process Improvement and Resiliency (BPI&R) team is searching for a teammate to lead the development and management of business continuity plans for our global business. 

The Manager, Business Continuity will provide a consistent, global approach for the development and execution of business continuity plans to support critical corporate and regional processes. The teammate will coordinate key functions like HR, Legal, Accounting and Finance, and Supply Chain to build, maintain and practice continuity plans, ensuring alignment with technology and other process enablers. Additionally, the teammate will contribute to the overall Business Resiliency program including, crisis and incident management planning and response, resiliency communications and resiliency governance, and training, testing, and exercising.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and prioritization of UA sites and essential processes for Continuity Plan development
• Lead Business Continuity Planning. Conduct Risk Assessment (RA) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) across UA
• Support Business Resiliency Governance by providing timely and accurate data and information on the state of UA’s Readiness – including Training, Testing and Exercising (TTE) activities, and Continuity and Resiliency planning status
• Support UA’s TTE practices and procedures including, but not limited to governance, programs, drills, tabletops, workshops, and exercises
• Provide global Crisis and Incident Management support
• Maintain a system of record for Resiliency, Continuity, and Crisis and Incident Management planning, response, and status

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Proven experience conducting Risk Assessments (RA) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) in the development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
• Proven experience in maintaining resilience programs and plans – including Business Continuity, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) and Resiliency, and TTE
• Extensive project management skills with demonstrated experience delivering projects on schedule, in scope, and within budget
• Skillful at communicating across the organization, with senior leadership, and with external partners
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and teams through strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated track record as a problem-solver and strategic thinker - able to identify key issues, develop hypotheses, and potential solutions
• Able to work in and bring structure to ambiguous environments

Education And / Or Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of Business Resiliency related experience in Emergency Response and Crisis Management, TTE, ITDR, Cyber Security, Enterprise Risk Management, or Asset Protection a plus
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and certifications related to business resiliency/continuity or crisis communications are preferred

Other Requirements

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
• Work-Life Integration Designation: Two (2) days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
• Travel: Up to 25% annually, domestic and international
