What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Service position at Unifi?
The Operation Service position is responsible for removing packages of yarn from machines, placing new tubes on machines, and cleaning up waste.
What is my earning potential?
We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $15 with top pay up to $15.75. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premium $1.00 for 12-hour night shifts.
How will you play an important role?
- Remove packages of yarn that are damaged or broke before package was full and place onto doff truck. (Break Backs)
- Make and place the correct sticker or stamp on break back packages.
- Push doff trucks to correct location.
- Place tubes on machines.
- Clean up waste
- Participates in and supports safety processes and initiatives
- Supports shift and department team goals and objectives
- General housekeeping.
Are you qualified for the position?
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, not required.
- Forklift experience preferred, not required
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read
- Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend frequently
- Hand and finger dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 13 lbs. (occasionally)
