Job Title: QC Inspector
Job Overview:
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector performs in-process and other types of quality inspection to ensure adherence of the product to compliance requirements and procedures. Reports to Manufacturing Quality Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job and Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections
• Perform Quality inspections on the product as defined by work instruction, customer requirements, and engineering instruction
• Ensure process and product compliance with ISO 900X, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 standards
• Validate workmanship adherence to IPC- 610 and IPC-600 as well as other defined criteria
• Execute written/verbal instructions given by supervisor and monitor efficiency and quality of assigned routine tasks
• Read and follow work instructions and visual aids
• Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards
• Identify, communicate, and escalate production issues and problems
• Monitor and operate critical equipment and instrumentation
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection in approving or rejecting final assemblies
• Record inspection results as required
• Support shop floor control systems
• Provide team support
• Demonstrate work methods to new hires
• Share best practices, assist in minor troubleshooting
• Actively participate in cross-training
Perform new responsibilities and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Education and Experience:
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in First Article, In-Process, FQA, or Receiving Inspection in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment
Salary Range: $18.00- $27.00/ hour
