PRODUCT LEAD

The Product Lead acts as subject matter expert for a defined set of business problems inside IT, and is a focal point for business representatives to interact with in order to understand their needs and priorities. The role will require partnering with leaders and key stakeholders across UniGroup and will necessitate strong communication, negotiation, and consensus-building across the marketing, sales, and operations departments.  The ideal candidate for this role is self-motivated, highly collaborative, and will own the creation of roadmaps for domains, compelling and differentiated value propositions, messaging frameworks, and assets used to drive customer conversations, marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and alignment to company strategy and messaging.  At UniGroup, we seek to be humble, nimble, creative, hardworking and collaborative - and believe these are the keys to reaching our current and future goals. We’re an inclusive culture where asking hard questions in order to encourage and architect open-minded solutions for each other, customers, agents, suppliers, and our surrounding communities is essential.#LOVEWHEREYOUWORK. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Strong background in the B2C domain with a passion for UX.Leads development and maintenance of the long-term product roadmap; involving sales, marketing, operations, clients, prospects, partners, and other groups as needed.Maintains expertise in applicable technical platforms, applications, and techniques in order to act as an organizational expert. Works closely with product marketing on product specific positioning, messaging (differentiation), value propositions, and metrics. Responsible for driving business case development in support of new product development.Serves as daily contact with defined business stakeholders as well as the development team.Communicates and explains changing priorities and their impact to the team. Works closely with Product Analyst and/or Agile Product Owner to document all requirements, including new features, major and minor enhancements for implementation and release notes. Collaborates with other Product Leads to ensure successful completion of work impacting multiple teams. Attends various working sessions including standups, retrospectives, and demos. Actively participates in strategic planning meetings to further refine, document, and communicate product roadmaps. Works with product analysts and agile product owners to both support backlog grooming to decompose and estimate stories as well as to document acceptance criteria.. Creates mockups and works with UX on design. Works closely with business process teams to develop, enhance, or replace processes and procedures as necessary. Demonstrates the latest product iterations to customers (pre-release) and gathers feedback. Mentor product analysts, agile product owners, and new teammates on knowledge sharing and onboarding activities. Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.    Qualifications: Education, License or Certification:  Bachelor’s degree in IS or equivalent experience.   Experience:  1-3 years of experience as an Agile/Scrum Product Owner 1-3 years of experience in IS development/support  3-5 years of experience in logistics and/or transportation industry  Exposure to or experience working in an agile environment with a focus on user centered design is preferred.
