Background & Purpose of the Job
The B&J’s SC Technical Lead role works within a Multi Country Organization (MCO - a geographic grouping of UL operating companies) reporting to the Head of SC for Ben & Jerry’s. SC Technical Lead is the global supply chain facing role of the Ben & Jerry’s organization. The role is focused on identifying product logic and supply chain opportunities for the global SC B&J’s organization. This role is an important player for the category since they will develop the Supply Chain long term strategies to create value for the category within the existing and future portfolio. The SC Technical Quality lead will support developing sound business cases to support category growth, 5S savings delivery and service improvement following the USLP principles and ensuring the optimal E2E network design. In addition, they
will also evaluate network constraints, identify improvement opportunities, review capex and technology needs, lead 5S savings identification and implementation, complexity reduction initiatives, and strategic project scoping and execution—all towards driving Gross
Margin and PBO improvement. This role will not only simulate and optimize current network but continually look for step change opportunities within SC E2E network. This person will work as part of the B&J’s global SC network and will closely interact with Brand, Supply/Demand Planning, Factories, Finance, Procurement and R&D to deliver the category business targets.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Continually analyze the E2E category network and propose and execute step change and continuous improvement projects
Develop business case analysis with Finance defining capex and cost savings for project
Develop long term E2E network analysis and use optimization and simulation techniques to improve network performance.
Support complexity reduction in product portfolio and overall network
Support 5S project delivery
Monitor the progress on achievement of the category KPIs in Gross Margin, service, and working capital

What You’ll Need To Succeed
University degree in technical discipline or general sciences a plus
At least 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain management required (Finance, Planning, Engineering, or Logistics a plus)
Experience in world class manufacturing, corrective action/preventative action, root-cause analysis
Experience in SAP, Merlin and other systems and programs essential for creation of business cases and network analysis such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
