POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Entry Level Seamstress/Sewers are responsible for smooth and efficient sewing repairs.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair cargo nets, etc. using sewing machine
- Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications
- Abide by all company and aviation authority procedures
- Report discrepancies in a timely manner
- Meet production targets
- Carry out other duties as and when directed, like cleaning containers or pallets etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to turn on a sewing machine and perform simple functions
- Excellent communication skills including written and oral
- Flexible, agile, adaptable and self-motivated
- Ability to interface with computers
- Ability to read technical publications and drawings
