Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in management or related field preferred.
- Must have thorough knowledge of HUD requirements and landlord activities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Prior experience as a landlord with HUD properties and prior experience working with mentally ill persons preferred.
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) from the National Center for Housing Management required within six months of employment.
Primary Duties:
- The Property Specialist is responsible for serving as landlord for Unison-owned HUD properties.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all parties involved both internally and externally is required.
- This individual is also responsible for maintaining statistical and financial information related to housing as required by HUD or other entities.
