Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Airframe Maintenance Program Managers are the on-site business and technical managers at each airframe MRO facility. They work in an agile and highly collaborative environment. They are responsible for daily implementation of quality, cost, and overall execution of base maintenance packages for aircraft entering heavy maintenance and major modifications. They act as the primary support role for the airframe providers in detecting /identifying defects and providing timely corrective actions, in accordance with the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program. Primary responsibility for the execution of conditions set forth in the supplier agreements and reconciliation of all costs associated with the base events. Overall airworthiness of the aircraft upon release is a shared responsibility with the Quality Control departments.
- Acting as interface with local supplier leadership, overseeing all facets of quality, performance, and financial performance
- Accomplish aircraft on-wing safety and performance audits under the 360 audit program
- Assume primary liaison role with all UAL base maintenance support organizations such as planning, supply chain, quality control, engineering, etc.
- Reconciling of financial invoices and pursue cost savings opportunities for materials and labor efficiencies
Required
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years Aircraft Maintenance Experience
- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- B.S. in Aviation Related Field
- Maintenance supervisory experience
- Line or Base Planning roles
- Preferred CISSP, CISA, or CISM
- Knowledge of Logistics and Finance
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Knowledge of Maintenance Programs, Methods and Standards, Process Optimization
- Inspection, Planning or Engineering roles
- SCEPTRE transactions
