SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in gathering and interpreting data to optimize organizational efficiency and quality. Additionally, this position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Work directly with Senior Financial Analyst to support a prioritized list of business needs.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Perform periodic financial reporting and operational metrics tracking, including weekly product reports and analysis and forecasts.
- Increase productivity by developing efficient reporting/forecasting tools and processes.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
- Prepare complex analyses, such as evaluating labor productivity or growth opportunities.
JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Experience, Training, and Licenses:
- BS or BA degree from a 4-year college or university, with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field.
- Relevant work experience of 3 years required.
- PC Skills – requires an advanced understanding of accounting software, with advanced word processing and email skills, along with the ability to review and analyze reports in company systems. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to touch-type at 40 WPM and use a 10-key required. Experience with Microsoft Power BI is preferred

- Knowledge of intermediate level mathematics required, including the ability to add, subtract, and balance a balance sheet.
