Job Posting for IT Network Administrator at UNITED FACILITIES
United Facilities Inc is adding an additional IT Network Administrator to our team! The IT Network Administrator has overall responsibility for managing, architecting, deploying, and supporting all networks and servers. This position continually collaborates with customers, leadership, and peers, by learning and teaching new ways of making networks, security, and server systems resilient, robust, and scalable.
What you’ll do:
Proactively plan and implement network and server hardware upgrades, schedule and perform maintenance, and implement various solutions based on requirements.
Analyze and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues – including resolving network hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Administer, manage, and configure WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLANS, VPN, switches, firewall systems, and servers both on premises and in the Cloud.
Administer, maintain, and operate the VMware software on virtual servers and hosts providing support for all servers.
Manage network security, updates, patching, and up time.
Develop and perform required patching, certificate deployment and maintenance schedule for network/server hardware and software.
Document and communicate network, security, and server hardware/software changes, issues, risks, and updates to the appropriate peers, management, vendors, and clients.
Manage disaster recovery processes as related to network services and server virtualization.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5 years of Network and Server management experience required.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred
Firm understanding of Windows Servers, the use of Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. Knowledge of VMware applications and physical infrastructure services preferred.
