You will be in charge of growing business within your territory, sourcing leads, closing business and growing your account base.
Duties:
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets
- Utilize warm calling techniques to reach out to potential clients and introduce our products/services
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Generate leads through outbound calling and other business development strategies
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients

Working under the direction of sales leadership team and will have the following main responsibilities:
- Grow the company's ocean and air freight business/services in an assigned territory.
- Find & develop qualified leads (cold calling), then convert them through the sales process into prospects and customers
- Develop and close additional leads provided through UGS
- Perform regular visits to qualified prospects to establish and build the relationship, leading closing business and bringing the account onboard
- Join in on monthly sales meetings with leadership team
- Following companies SOP’s
- Building out customer profiles for UGS operations team
Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior freight forwarding experience required
- Understand of the import and export process
- Ability to overcome rejections
- Ability to adapt quickly in an ever changing industry
- Sociable and ability to maintain relationships for long term potential
- A current book of business or active following highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
