United Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to join our pharmacy team in Vestal, NY.  This is a benefits eligible position.

Salary range: $61.37-$92.06/hour Depending on experience

Pharmacy Supervisor- Overview

The Pharmacy Supervisor implements, coordinates and supervises services in the Department of Pharmacy.

Pharmacy Supervisor Key Responsibilities and Expectations

• Interprets and, if necessary, clarifies medication orders / prescriptions written by physicians and other authorized practitioners and intervenes when clinically appropriate.
• Ensures that medication orders / prescriptions are filled according to recognized professional standards, state and federal laws, and departmental policies.
• Supervises technical staff during distributive activities.
• Creates and directs the daily work schedule of others in the UHS Pharmacy Department.
• Ensures department compliance with all State and Federal Pharmacy Regulations and laws as defined by the State Board of Pharmacy Handbook.
• Acts as intermediary between staff and Associate Director.
• Assists in developing departmental policies.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Required:

• A Bachelor’s of Science Degree (B.S.) in Pharmacy or a Pharm. D. from an accredited college or university
• Three Years pharmacy experience
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in New York State.

Preferred:

• Advanced Pharmacy Degree or completion of a pharmacy residency
