Registered Dietician

United Methodist Homes Hilltop Campus in beautiful Johnson City, NY is seeking a part-time Registered Dietician. This position is 20-hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Creates resident specific menus and verifies nutritional aspects of the resident specific menus
• Assists with current nutritional software program
• Participates in nutritional assessments, resident care conferences, MDS process
• Assists in the planning of menus
• Attends meetings including but not limited to daily rounds, continuous quality improvement, food committees
• Participates in meal rounds and tray assessments
• Participates in weekly skin rounds and charting
• Assesses laboratory values, medication changes, changes in the status of a resident, weight changes, and intake changes as needed
• Participates in care planning, documentation, education as stated in the Federal and/or State regulations for each level of care on the campus

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's or higher degree granted by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or an equivalent foreign degree) with completion of the academic requirements of a program in nutrition or dietetics accredited by an appropriate national accreditation organization recognized for this purpose.
• Completed at least 900 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a registered dietitian or nutrition professional.
• Licensed or certified as a dietitian or nutrition professional by the State in which the services are performed. In a state that does not provide for licensure or certification, the individual will be deemed to have met this requirement if he or she is recognized as a 'registered dietitian' by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or its successor organization.
