You'll play a critical role in ensuring our daily operations in relation to our core banking system are running smoothly. You're responsible for processing, monitoring, reporting and maintenance tasks for core banking systems, as well as back-ups, general logging, and complete assigned duties on ad-hoc basis. You'll also perform operational activities to support various business units within the credit union. New college grads who majored in Comp Sci are encouraged to apply.
Work coverage to be performed during 8 hour rotating shift schedule [day/night shift] Monday thru Sunday [Saturday and Sunday coverage is during night shift only and remote].
This position is expected to be hybrid.
NYC Salary Range - $70,000 - $75,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.
What you'll do
- Perform nightly batch processing [End of Day/Close of Business] on Automic/DNA and troubleshoot all reported issues.
- Perform database administration activities such as selecting, and updating tables based on approved requests.
- Actively monitor core-banking systems, job processing, file transmission, file archiving and interface connectivity including backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operations and application issues; and escalate unresolved issues for SME support in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain at all-time system changes log, issues, batch postings, and up-to-date documentation.
- Adhere to pre-established guidelines and instructions, develop and maintain operational procedures to perform job assigned activities.
- Provide highest level of service by ensuring core banking systems are up and running.
What we're seeking
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer information systems or management information systems or an Associates degree with minimum 2-3 years of banking operations and applications support
- Working knowledge of Windows, database-oriented applications and file management
- Computer troubleshooting skills
- General understanding of programming languages and system architecture
- Quality conscious and detail oriented with very strong ability to follow instructions on a consistent basis
- Availability to work night and weekend shifts on rotation.
