Job Title: Receiver
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments
- Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders or invoices
- Unload and unpack merchandise from delivery trucks
- Sort and organize received items in designated storage areas
- Update inventory records to reflect received items
- Communicate with suppliers regarding any discrepancies or damaged goods
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods to appropriate locations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
