Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, quality control, and laboratory procedures. Key responsibilities include routine analysis of soil, plant tissue and other agricultural samples using various lab equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct various laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision of test results
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Record and analyze data accurately using laboratory information management systems
- Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis
-Assist group leaders and analysists in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
Requirements
- Computer skills are required ( Excel, Access, MS Word, MS Office Suite).
- Self Starter, Organized, and Detail-Oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced team oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous experience working in a laboratory preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required in a related field such as Biology, Chemistry, or a relevant scientific discipline
- Proficiency in math for data analysis and interpretation
- ICP (AVIO 500s) experience
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
-Knowledge of laboratory procedures, systems, and equipment
- Knowledge of laboratory information management systems is a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
