United Staffing Associates is seeking a Maintenance Technicican for a local company. This is a full time, temp to hire opportunity
Job Description:
- Maintains and repairs manufacturing equipment and facilities using knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and other related trades to ensure optimal operation and safety
- Respond to, diagnose, and repair problems for all equipment/machinery for corporate facility on an emergency and non-emergency basis.
- Perform other mechanical/maintenance tasks/duties as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, simple and complex sketches, other related documents and verbal field nstructions needed to perform assigned duties.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical, plumbing, office, HVAC and electrical issues throughout the facilities.
- Interacts with vendors and suppliers to source materials and supervise repairs.
- Demonstrates flexibility to perform various job roles within the maintenance department as assigned.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools or other equipment as needed and required for the job.
- Troubleshoot and repair greenhouses, greenhouse equipment and other production and research related items.
- Cross-train in all maintenance and field areas.
- Perform other duties as required by the Facilities Engineer
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ relevant experience in the electrical and mechanical area; knowledge of general mechanical skills and practices; completion of an apprenticeship will be highly considered.
- Demonstrated electrical skills, up to 480-volt 3 phase power. Proven knowledge of motors, control panels and distribution panels.
- Experience with carpentry, rough and finish as well as knowledge of plumbing/pipe fitting, PVC, copper, and iron pipe. Supply and drain side.
- HVAC - EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- Low voltage control systems (Argus) knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge of VFD Drives; troubleshoot and repair/replace and restore parameters.
- Familiarity with temperature controls and thermocouples.
- Familiarity with RO water systems.
- Knowledge of boiler operations and controls.
- MIG welding fabrications/repairs on mild steel experience.
- Experience with three phase power distribution is required.
