What are the responsibilities and job description for the FINANCIAL MODELER position at United States Senate?
Senior Republican Senator on the Senate Finance Committee seeks a candidate skilled in financial modeling to join his economic team. This policy advisor will work on models quantifying policy options, enabling dials to be turned as the Senator contemplates how to best achieve policy objectives. The position will also involve staffing the Senator’s work on relevant committees of jurisdiction; drafting legislation (training will be provided to a successful applicant without such prior experience); recommending legislative options within the relevant issue areas; preparing briefing materials for the Senator; and managing external relationships.
Qualified candidates will be intellectually curious, independent self-starters with a demonstrated ability to take on new challenges and work well as part of a team. They will also have superior writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Prior Hill experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
