What are the responsibilities and job description for the Statistician position at United States Trustee Program (USTP)?
This position serves as a member of a team in the Office of Planning and Evaluation evaluating the various programs and operations within the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will conduct analyses and evaluations that support USTP program mission activities and operations.
The duties and responsibilities for a Statistician generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design and develop data analysis methodologies and techniques and adapt them to specialized studies or investigations.
- Forecast the impact of present and future technologies on the agency's current practices using analytical and model building techniques.
- Provide technical direction related to the design of data collection efforts, specification of data processing and tabulation protocols, data analysis, and report production and dissemination.
- Review and determine the statistical soundness of proposals, the statistical quality of data collected by outside contractors, and the quality of analyses performed by outside parties.
