Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with the backhaul department in order to assist with building loads
Review all scheduled loads, to ensure accuracy and freedom from errors
Group stores according to location/region to ensure accuracy and efficiency (reducing load count)
Assign trucks to all drives and communicate with contract drivers
Stay in constant communication with warehouse
Provide excellent service to The United Family stores
Build loads in TMW to ensure accurate instructs and payment for drivers
Assist in dispatch duties as needed and distribute work assignments as directed
Provide necessary support to ensure warehouse and transportation schedules are attained
Heavy interaction with stores, vendors and warehouse/manufacturing sites
Schedule daily workload and department personnel
Review employee paperwork for accuracy
Maintain necessary documentation and files
Commitment to providing a safe working environment
Participate in the development and execution of load planning and optimization efforts
Comply with DOT regulations
Assist in monitoring department and individual employee performance
Perform other duties as requested or required by a higher level of management

Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously

Excellent organization skills and logical thinking
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing
Excellent follow through on daily tasks and projects
Ability to work flexible schedule
Knowledge of DOT laws desired
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
Ability to work at a fast-paced but efficient and controlled manner
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
