Summary:
The Social Media Specialist will manage and grow our company’s brands and presence on digital platforms, further develop our online following and presence and integrate existing marketing campaigns with digital marketing initiatives. This is a full-time position dedicated to the promotion of United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, Albertsons Market, United Express, and Praters across online channels, such as: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Yelp, websites, mobile app, Google and others. The ideal candidate will have experience representing a brand’s social media presence, have great writing skills and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post content to multiple brands across multiple social channels
Develop and manage successful solutions to increase engagement, customer interactions, and sharing opportunities
Support generations of user created content via active community participation and conversation
Manage online discussions by listening, responding and resolving customer service issues to users in a timely manner
Prepare weekly and monthly reports to update staff, management and executive team on digital metrics and discussion topics
Proactively monitor brands and relevant themes/news stories within the industry and provide
solutions for timely content, assets and conversations within brand communities
Curate content from multiple channels or create organic content, including photography or digital graphics
Develop and implement creative digital marketing initiatives to acquire new customers
Analyze digital campaigns for performance and develop solutions and plans for enhancing digital marketing efforts
Build relationships with and work closely with public relations, community relations, corporate marketing, merchandising, operations, IT and business partners
Work inside Facebook Business Manager to manage budget and schedule paid social promotions
Maintain open communication and regular updates with team and management
Perform other duties as requested or required by management
Key Requirements:
College degree or related business experience in Digital Media, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in online marketing, social media, or advertising with samples of copywriting and content creation.
Social media management/ publishing software such as Hubspot, Meltwater, Percolate, Hootsuite, Later required
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator in particular)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) with working knowledge of other related software and office equipment
Must possess the ability to learn, evaluate and gain intimate knowledge of social media as it relates to marketing at United Supermarkets
Demonstrate creativity, dedication and documented immersion in social media
Have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to move projects, communicate ideas in a busy organization and successfully interact directly with customers and members of the community in a public forum
Experience coordinating and balancing content calendars, including the scheduling and timing of content
Experience sourcing and managing content from development and beyond from internal, external and paid resources
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work non-traditional hours when needed
Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing to meet deadlines
Self-starter with strong organization skills; ability to seek out, identify and take advantage of opportunities with minimal supervision
Explicit attention to detail; creativity and resourcefulness
Photography experience is desired
Occasional travel required for store openings, major events, etc.
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
