Position Summary:
The Registered Staff Nurse plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional support to our patients, physicians, and office staff. We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who can support patients, physicians, and office staff while contributing to the effective functioning of our medical practice.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up appointments. Serve as liaison between patients, physicians, and office staff.
- Triages patients, including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting patient complaints and concerns as needed under the direction of physicians.
- Administer medications and injections as physicians prescribe, ensuring accurate dosage and patient understanding of medication regimens, processing medication requests in a timely manner.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during medical procedures and examinations, including but not limited to catheter placements, injections, post-operative care, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records through daily chart reviews that include medical histories, treatment plans, lab orders, and progress notes, adhering to all confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Provide patients with information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, self-care instructions; and ensure that phone messages are responded to in a timely manner.
- Maintains all medical equipment, verifying that routine and periodic maintenance procedures are performed and logged for all corporate locations.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BSN or AA in Nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required and will be verified prior to and throughout employment.
- BLS/CPR required and will be verified prior to and throughout employment.
- CPR and ACLS certification required and will be verified prior to and throughout employment.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a general operating room.
- Previous Urology experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Clinical assessment proficiency.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Proficient computer software and database skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Very comfortable asking probing questions to patients.
- Must demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Multitasking and proactive problem-solving.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Travel:
- 25% travel required to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
- Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- May be required to help to transfer the patient.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
