What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVP, Talent position at United Wholesale Mortgage?
The AVP of Talent at UWM is a strategic recruiting leader that is focused on maintaining a strong recruiting team that will fulfill the critical role of growing UWM with the best talent. They are a true partner to the business as hiring needs fluctuate and strategies need to shift. The leader is responsible for the implementation of the recruiting plans, approaches, methods, and communication. The ideal candidate for this position is able to excel in a fast-paced environment and has proven ability to execute.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- This leader is responsible for leading the company’s strategy in growing the company with top talent to maintain our success and collaborative culture.
- Lead and empower the talent team members that are responsible for identifying, sourcing, and hiring for the entire organization.
- Forecast future hiring needs on the basis of our business growth strategies and create a unique tactic for each business area.
- Review documentation, assessments, processes and procedures to ensure they are consistent and accurate. This leader will also be responsible for driving the adoption of these process.
- Evaluate recruiting efforts to continually improve the process and quality of talent hired into the organization.
- Analyze recruiting metrics and trends to solve for any attraction issues.
- Lead the team’s change management efforts.
- Ensure all processes are compliant and audited regularly.
- Partner with marketing on driving the company’s brand through candidate attraction initiatives.
- Drive the company and team goals.
- Utilize the ATS (iCIMS) to track team’s efforts.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must have qualification:
- 5 years of recruiting experience
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Working knowledge of employment law
- Proficient experience in Excel
- Ability to work with various levels of leaders within the company directly and indirectly
- Strong ability to determine coaching opportunities and think outside of the box for new recruiting strategies
- High Sense of Urgency
- Relationship Driven
- Strong ability to hold team accountable
- Positive attitude
- Self-Starter
- High School Diploma
- Onsite attendance is required
Nice to have qualification:
- Leadership experience in recruiting
- Bachelor’s degree
- Working iCIMS knowledge
- Advance experience in Excel
