Clinical Assistant - Riverside Medical Group- Specialty

The Clinical Assistant performs many tasks that aid the Medical Provider, Technician and / or Office Manager with providing patients with the highest standards of medical care. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs and nasal swab procedures to collect specimens for lab testing
• Greet and Screen patients for appropriate information and enter it to the patient’s electronic medical record
• Ensure all required intake paperwork, and confirm that the patient's demographic information is complete and accurate
• Collaborate with valet team to establish and direct patient flow
• Effectively communicate with other staff
• Exercise problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Cooperate with other RMG employees to achieve specific team goals
• Follow all privacy and infection control protocols as per OSHA and HIPAA requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer and word-processing skills
• You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role
• Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

• Healthcare industry experience
