Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee a vision to increase employee engagement and well-being through behavioral change tactics
  • Apply insights from behavioral economics, psychology and sociology to our design, communications and content experiences
  • Understand the long-term outcomes we are trying to impact, and which behaviors are most important in driving them
  • Develop behaviorally informed strategies, visual designs and content design that improves the employee experience. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on behavioral science principles, current research and designing for behavior change
  • Using qualitative and quantitative research methods to test and learn how to improve engagement and health outcomes 
  • Develop and own the Studio Behavioral design strategy across multiple internal and external communication channels
  • Collaborate with a broader community of behavioral scientists and behavioral designers to share knowledge across UnitedDesign and UnitedHealth Group insights communities.  
  • Design and improve conversations that nurture, maintain and grow employee engagement
  • Work across multiple brands and teams to create a united path forward

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of academic or applied behavioral science and/or design research experience
  • 3 years of applying behavioral insights to product or service design 
  • 1 years of exposure with human-centered design principles and best practices
  • Exceptional portfolio of behavior change design and communications. Link and any required password must be atop your resume

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social or Behavior Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Organizational Behavior, Human Factors Engineering or other related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
  • Tireless optimism
  • A passion for collaboration
  • Empathy and compassion for the people we serve
  • A drive to innovate and find new approaches
  • Subject matter expertise and experience related to organizational behavior

 

Total Compensation. As part of your total compensation package, which includes base, bonus opportunity, PTO and holiday pay, you will also receive these benefits at these rates, not to mention a remote work opportunity and healthy work/life balance.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
