We are looking for an innovative Procurement Analyst who will be responsible for managing software procurement requests from global users ,supporting the development of key company systems and processes, maintaining a strategic overview of project procurement management activities and ensuring that purchasing contracts and arrangements are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal requirements, project requirements, and business policies and procedure preparing reports & maintaining an updated record of all the Procurements.
Our Software Procurement Analyst will work with software requestors as needed to acquire additional or missing information for their requests. They should specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all software’s, as required by the company. Support in preparing reports & maintaining an updated record of all the procurements.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand standard Sourcing practices and techniques and work independently with suppliers to meet the business requirement and applicable terms & conditions. Should understand basic use of Software’s for researching software licensing models, product use rights and licensing metrics/entitlements as needed
- Creating and maintaining software vendor information in the procurement system
- Partner with software vendors for quoting software, providing POs for procurement requests and invoice processing
- Independently work with suppliers to providing clarifications to vendors on business requirements
- Supports in development of Procurement & Sourcing strategies that are inventive and cost-effective by working with Category Team to identify internal business need
- Facilitate monthly software maintenance renewals with internal business owners and vendors
- Understand Negotiation strategies with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Reviewing & conducting research on existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility and determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
- Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (for example, suppliers, category managers, legal, finance, accounting) to ensure clarification of requirement
- Developing supplier relationships
- Stakeholder Management: Manages multiple project initiatives for sourcing to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables
- Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 5 years of professional experience in a Software Procurement or related procurement role
- 3 years of experience in software procurement or a related procurement role to ensure the candidate understands the Procurement lifecycle
- 2 years of experience working in an IT-related role or in a procurement role that involves substantial interaction with S/Products or technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP & Service Management Tools (i.e., Service Now)
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders & vendors

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only: The hourly range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $58,300 to $114,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
