Compensation:

• Hourly, non-exempt
• New hires can expect to be placed on our starting wage scale of $26.88 to $31.97 per hour
• Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $26.88 to $37.07 per hour

Work Schedule:

• Full time, 40 hours
• M-F

Job Summary

As an Assistant Accountant for Unity Care NW, you will perform a wide range of accounting processes including accounts payable and purchasing, special projects & analysis, processing of both cash receipt and disbursements, general ledge reconciliation and general administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Possesses advanced general skills, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge at a level typically acquired through completion of a general bachelor’s degree program.
• Possesses specific knowledge of Accounting/Bookkeeping processes and practices, typically learned on the job, or which may include a series of training sessions that would comprise a few weeks if done consecutively.
• Must possess additional expertise in the field of Accounting/Bookkeeping acquired through practice or exposure to various conditions, beyond the formal knowledge (or on the job training), allowing employees to perform more advanced techniques.
• Must have general office skills, including excellent data entry and computing skills.
• Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office products (must be proficient with Outlook, Word & Excel).
• Proficiency in Adobe PDF software.
• Proficient keyboarding skills, be able to input patient data quickly and accurately, and have the ability to use office equipment (fax, photo copier, phone system).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microix software a plus.
• Experience with MIP Accounting software a plus.
