The Intake Director is a vital part of Arbour's senior leadership team. This is a full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hour per week position. The Intake Director

Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the Intake Department in a manner consistent with Arbour Hospital's mission while establishing and maintaining productive dialogue with Referral Sources and Senior Management Teams at each location to ensure open communication, rapid problem resolution and effective systematic changes when needed
- Oversees intake coordinator, financial service representatives and administrative staff and assures that the centralized call center /department functions collaboratively and effectively in the responding to inpatient, PHP/IOP referral requests from clinicians, patients, family members, managed care company staff, and others
- Monitors status of admissions on an ongoing basis to assure that intake staff has knowledge of available beds/PHP openings, demographic and caller information properly documents, medical and risk fields completed, and insurance have been properly verified and that authorization for admission has been obtained

Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelors' degree required or significant experience in similar role. Masters strongly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar position in Admissions or Intake Department
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health admissions criteria/processes/levels of care, insurance coverage/benefits, and staff supervision/management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task and change direction quickly
- Requires advanced computer skills including Word and Excel
- Computer literacy required; Outlook E-mail, Office including: Excel, Word, as well as other Internet applications that relate to the intake department. Candidate must have superior supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills, be a self-starter with innovation, motivation and leadership capabilities. He/she must be able to work independently as well as in a team culture. Anticipates needs for multiple projects and arranges time and needed resources accordingly
