What are the responsibilities and job description for the TECH - CARDIAC CATH/CATH LAB position at Universal Health Services, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY:
To Provide direct, safe and ethical patient care appropriate to the age of patients served in the cardiac catheterization lab. Provide leadership and direction for employees with lesser training.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Operates all imaging equipment including radiographic and fluoroscopic room, C-arm and other equipment associated with cardiac cath lab.
2. Completes and properly documents all worked performed and maintains department equipment ready for use.
3. Scrubs and assists in all procedures performed in the cath lab.
4. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the cardiac cath lab team are met.
5. Assists nursing personal with transportation and care of patients.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification as an operating room technician preferred
- GED or High school diploma
- Current BLS certification. ACLS preferred
- Minimum Six months to One year experience in related health care field or in cardiac cath lab
- Graduate of an accredited school of operating room technicians preferred
