What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor position at Universal Pure, LLC?

food pasteurization), cold storage, and other services for our partners in the food

The Warehouse Supervisor delivers, maintains, enforces, and executes the warehouse operations under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating,
coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies
and procedures.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and
monitoring procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with
WMS.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing
new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair
and requisitions for replacement.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and
assigning employees; following work performance and productivity
• Maintains warehouse staff by interviewing, on-boarding, and training
employees.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining,
planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops when available. Actively participate in Universal Pure
Committees.
• Adhere to customer requirement.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
• Partners with HR regarding employee relations issues.
Qualifications:
• Requires 2-5 years of knowledge and experience in warehousing, receiving,
and inventory control or materials management preferably in a cold storage
or manufacturing environment.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years prior applicable supervisory experience.
• Candidate must demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through
others.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
• Candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and ability to manage
multiple priorities
• Requires effective and professional oral and written communication skills
• Prior budgetary experience is preferred
• Proven safety management experience
• Ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action
plans to achieve results
• An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety,
quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
• Show systems and continuous improvement orientation
• Ability to problem analysis and resolution
• College degree is preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred.
