Overview
The Regional Admissions Director (RAD) manages a group of territories that consists of 8-12 Field Admissions Representatives while providing leadership through ongoing and consistent training, coaching, development and hiring of top talent. Therefore, a leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates, trains, and engages others in an enthusiastic way is essential for success. As a result of the RADs leadership, Field Admissions Representatives will have all of the necessary tools to meet performance goals and metrics while providing Service Excellence to prospective students and their families throughout the enrollment process. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to build effective teams while maintaining focus on achieving results, which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals and culture. One should enjoy making connections and communicating with people while proactively establishing relationships as well as enforcing and following established guidelines, processes and procedures. A successful candidate will enjoy problem solving and engaging the commitment of others while working collaboratively in a fast paced, time sensitive, constantly changing environment.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to direct reports to include daily coaching, developmental coaching through situational leadership as well as performance management and conflict resolution.
Forecast sales goals, set performance, and activity standards necessary amongst the field representatives in order to achieve the goals.
Through consistent and effective leadership, hold field representatives accountable for achieving goals and reaching individual and territorial potential. Performance management is reviewed weekly with respectful and timely coaching interventions.
Submit weekly and monthly reports to Regional Director Field Admissions and members of the immediate management team.
Consistently and proactively prospect for top talent.
Proactively recruit to build a bench
Partnering in the interview and selection process
Prepare staff projections in the budgeting process
Partners with Director Admissions Process on training for Field Representatives.
Partners with Campus leadership to maintain alignment with shared goals.
Develops and maintains good working relations with other Directors / Managers to ensure all departments are working toward the same common goal.
Attends various meetings at both the Campus and Home Office locations as necessary.
Communicates the strategic vision of UTI and Admissions Department to direct reports in such a way that creates alignment and clear direction to achieve results.
Manages existing policies and processes that are consistent with our company philosophy and that contribute towards the achievement of our goals.
Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.
Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of sales experience.
3-5 years of sales management experience.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, which include verbal and written communication.
Ability to multi-task and work with a variety of people at all levels throughout the organization.
Advanced knowledge of sales and management practices.
Ability to analyze and report relevant data.
Public speaking experience.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access.
Abilities
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-30 pounds or less 20% of the workday
Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
Must be able to stand for long periods of time during presentation
Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Will require 75%-100% overnight travel
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
