Accounts Payable Clerk
We are currently seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and hardworking Accounts Payable Analyst. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong desire to learn and grow. This position is responsible for all accounts payable functions including vendor payments, vendor invoicing, review of invoices to ensure proper payment, working with external auditors, UC Board Treasurer, Payroll, and reconciling of monthly statements.
Responsibilities:
- Process all vendor invoices and payments
- Review and reconcile monthly statements
- Process PO invoicing and collections
- Prepare weekly credit memos
- Prepare weekly checks for payments
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies
- Maintain records of payment terms and conditions
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Perform other accounting functions as needed or assigned by the UC Board Treasurer or Board President
Qualifications:
·College Degree Preferred with an emphasis in Accounting
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Accounting software.
·Must be proficient in typing at least 50 WPM.
·Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
